For XNUMXst century coffee drinkers, the dear old mocha is becoming a thing of the past. A memory of when to make a coffee you had to get your hands dirty, forcefully unscrew the machine that sometimes just didn't want to open. Then you had to fill it with water, not too much and not too little, put the coffee in it, being careful not to drop it wherever, an impossible move, close with force, put it on the stove and finally… Wait.Waiting to hear that distant bubbling, which was the everyone's favorite sound, the only one capable of transforming a crooked and sleepy morning into something productive and active. This routine, in fact, has long since been almost completely replaced with the ben one faster than coffee pods. The result? More taste, less time.
Coffee Capsules and Pods
The coffee capsules have revolutionized the mornings than all of us Italians, as we have coffee among the roots of our culture. Sure, the pleasure of coffee at the bar it will always remain unique and unassailable, but to this is added the pleasure of coffee as good as at the bar but made at home. That's right: thanks to the coffee pods we can enjoy a better product directly at home. This new technology allows the coffee to be aerated and, thanks to the jet of boiling water, every smallest particle of taste that was sealed in the capsule is extracted. Paper pods they work the same way, but are packaged differently. Being made of paper and can be recycled, unlike aluminum and plastic capsules, which cannot be recycled as they contain more materials.
Paper pods or plastic capsules are better?
Let's analyze well differences between the two products. The capsules are each born with a shape that characterizes them. This form has been given to them to be directly and uniquely compatible with the coffee machines of their same brand and same type. For example, if we have a Nespresso coffee machine, we can only use them nespresso coffee capsules. However, there are some coffee companies that produce coffee capsules with the right shape to be used in different machines depending on the shape: these are called compatible capsules and in shape they are the same as the original ones, but have a different mixture. The paper pods, on the other hand, they all have the same shape and can be used on any coffee machine, it doesn't matter the brand. For this they are more useful to use, for their universal format. There are many brands that produce paper pods, such as Illy pods or those Blacksmith's Coffee.
Conclusions
There is therefore no answer to the question, since it is not the capsule or the pod that gives more flavor to your coffee. If you prefer the mixture of Nescafe capsules, then surely the latter will be considered the best by you, as will the pods for those who prefer the mixture of Bourbon pods. However, a comparison can be made at an environmental level, as the capsules are not recyclable and therefore create more waste than paper capsules.
